NATIONAL LIBRARY CELEBRATES WORLD BOOK DAY 2020
National Library of India today (23.04.2020) organised a Webinar
on “BOOK
: A FRIEND WHO NEEDS NO SOCIAL DISTANCING” by Dr. Chandana Aditya,
Assistant Professor of Psychology, Womens’ College, Kolkata to celebrate the
World Book Day 2020.
Around eighty participants from across the country
participated in the Webinar. The deliberation was followed by a lively
interaction of the participants with the resource person. The excerpt of the
webinar is also given below.
Dr.K.K.Kochukoshy, Officer-on-Special Duty
delivered the welcome address. Ms E.Gajalakshmi, ALIO compered the entire
program. She introduced the resource person and introduced the concept of the webinar.The
vote of thanks was delivered by Dr.Partha Sarathi Das, ALIO.
The virtual program was conducted through Videoconferencing through
GoToMeeting Application. The entire virtual program is conceptualised, designed
and digitally managed exclusively by the In-house team of National Library of
India for the first time in history of the National Library as one of the step
to reach out the citizens of this country during the lockdown period.
About
the Resource Person
Dr.
Chandana Aditya joined the department of Psychology in the capacity of
Assistant Professor from 1 st October, 2016. She was awarded her PhD degree in
2004 from University of Calcutta inApplied Psychology. Title of her PhD
Dissertation is “Effect of Hindusthani
Music (Instrumental) onthe Emotional Arousal and Catharsis in Relation to
Personality Dispositions”. She completed her BEd in Special Education in
2005-2006 sessions. She received National Scholarship in Under Graduate Level
and qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturer ship in 2013. She is
Lifetime Member of IIP and IARA. Annual and renewable member of RCI and affiliate
member of IPS. She received training in clinical psychiatry in her PG days. She
is also undergoing training in Psychoanalysis from Indian Psychoanalytical Institute functioning under the Indian
Psychoanalytical Society (IPS). She is currently working as a Guest Editor of
special issue of EAI endorsed journal with the tentative title of: Prevention and Control of Communicable
Diseases : ICT Solutions for Smart Cities. She is engaged in research works
on different areas like stress and mental health, psychiatric issues,Organizational
Psychology and HRM. Her current focus of research is Values and Ethics:
